Our Story
In 2018, after becoming a first-time mom and returning to work post-maternity leave, Cherie Turner, a healthcare professional, realized a lack of postpartum support in scrub uniforms. Frustrated by the lack of functionality for nursing moms, Cherie set out to design a solution that would allow mothers to feel professional, comfortable, and dressed while pumping at work. After the birth of her second child in 2022, Cherie knew it was time to bring her vision to life and launched Mommy Scrubs in August 2024 with the motto: Don't undress to express!

I'geal "Cherie" Turner
Mommy Scrubs was created out of a deep understanding of the struggles that working mothers face especially when it comes to balancing breastfeeding with a demanding career. Cherie Turner, the founder, is a wife and mother of two, who knows this journey all too well. She’s lived through the daily challenge of undressing multiple times at work just to express milk—an exhausting, inconvenient, and often uncomfortable process that takes up precious time. As a mom working outside of the home, Cherie realized how much this cycle of undressing, pumping, and getting dressed again could disrupt your day and your sense of balance.
Cherie’s goal with Mommy Scrubs is simple: to make it easier for you to achieve that balance. As a mother and a professional with a background in Occupational Therapy, Cherie understands not only the physical aspects of what a mother needs at work but the emotional toll that constant disruption can take. It’s hard to focus when you’re constantly worrying about how to fit in pumping sessions between work demands, or feeling the discomfort of having to change in and out of your work clothes multiple times.
Cherie knows how vital it is to feel comfortable, confident, and empowered, both as a professional and as a mother. Mommy Scrubs is here to ensure that you can continue to provide nourishment for your baby, while also taking care of yourself and your career without the struggle of undressing multiple times each day.
Cherie’s personal experience drives everything Mommy Scrubs stands for: empowering lactating mothers in the workplace, supporting breastfeeding, and creating a world where occupational balance is possible. She’s here to make sure you have the tools you need to thrive as both a mother and a professional because returning to work should never mean giving up your ability to nourish your baby.
