The Quiet Strength of Pumping Moms in Healthcare

The Quiet Strength of Pumping Moms in Healthcare

Hey, Mama!

April holds so many important observances: National Minority Health Month, Cesarean Awareness Month, and Black Maternal Health Week. Each one reminds us that motherhood doesn’t exist in a vacuum and working moms carry more than most people realize.

For moms in healthcare, the transition back to work is layered.
You’re still healing.
You’re still adjusting.
And you’re navigating pumping in environments that weren’t designed with your body or your needs in mind.

If you’ve ever had to time your pumping session between patients, or felt guilty stepping away to protect your milk supply, please hear this:

Nothing is wrong with you. The system simply wasn’t built for you.

Yet moms show up.
You care for others while trying to care for yourself.
You advocate for your patients while quietly advocating for your baby.

This month, I’m honoring the quiet strength of every pumping mom in scrubs.
Your needs matter. Your voice matters. You deserve support, not survival mode.

Mommy Scrubs exists to make at least one part of your day easier. You shouldn’t have to fight for comfort.

Stay Pumped,

Your Mommy Scrubs Village
