Mommy Scrubs™ Is WBENC-Certified (And Why That Matters to You)

Hey, mamas!

Real talk! When I started Mommy Scrubs™, I wasn’t thinking about certifications. I was thinking about the next pump session. Running between floors. Watching the clock. Pulling my whole top over my head in a shared room and praying nobody walked in.

So this news feels big. Because it means hospitals can now bring our scrubs to you more easily.

The Official News

Mommy Scrubs™ is proud to announce that we are certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation’s leading third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women.

The WBENC Certification process has confirmed that our business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women, and has the appropriate structure and strategic business planning and implementation in place.

By including women-owned businesses among their suppliers, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier diversity programs, which in turn empowers women as leaders and brings about a more diverse, balanced and sustainable economy.

Why This Matters

For you, mama

Hospitals with supplier diversity programs actively look for WBENC-Certified businesses. That opens doors for Mommy Scrubs™ to show up in your uniform program, not just your online cart.

For hospitals and health systems

Supporting lactating staff isn’t a perk. It’s retention. Returning to work is the top reason mothers stop breastfeeding, and 60% of new moms go back to work. Partnering with a WBENC-Certified business supports your staff and your supplier diversity goals at the same time.

Quick Tips to Get Support at Work

  • Know your rights. The PUMP Act gives you reasonable break time and a private space, shielded from view, to pump for up to one year after birth.
  • Ask about uniform programs. If your hospital provides scrubs, ask whether lactation friendly options are included.
  • Loop in HR. Mention that Mommy Scrubs™ is WBENC-Certified. Supplier diversity teams love an easy yes.
  • Talk to other pumping moms on your unit. One voice is a request. Five voices is a movement.

The Takeaway

You shouldn’t have to choose between your career and your feeding goals. Every partnership we build gets you one step closer to pumping on your shift without stripping down.
