As we celebrate Black Breastfeeding Week and Breastfeeding Month, it's
crucial to shed light on the unique challenges faced by Black moms in their
breastfeeding journeys. Breastfeeding is widely acknowledged for its profound
benefits to infant health and maternal well-being. However, women of color
experience significantly lower breastfeeding rates compared to their white
counterparts. highlighting systematic challenges that must be addressed.

Barriers to Breastfeeding
Socioeconomic factors play a critical role with limited access to lactation support services, inadequate workplace accommodations, and cultural beliefs
influencing breastfeeding decisions. These barriers contribute to disparities in
